09 - 2 to 3 tablespoons whole milk
10 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - Blue or navy gel food coloring
12 - Edible silver or gold star-shaped sprinkles
13 - Edible silver pearls or gold dragees for constellation points
14 - Edible glitter, optional
# Directions:
01 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, approximately 2 minutes.
03 - Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture; mix until fully combined.
04 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
05 - Divide dough into two equal portions, flatten into disks, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
06 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
07 - On a lightly floured work surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into circles or star shapes using cookie cutters.
08 - Place cookies 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and cool completely.
09 - Mix powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust with additional milk as needed to reach desired consistency.
10 - Tint icing with blue or navy gel food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
11 - Spread or pipe icing onto cooled cookies. While icing remains wet, arrange edible pearls or dragees to form the Pisces constellation pattern.
12 - Position star-shaped sprinkles around the constellation and apply edible glitter if desired.
13 - Allow icing to set completely at room temperature before serving or storing.
